Huawei Canada seeks a GPU and AI Researcher to innovate in hardware architecture. Focus on next-generation architecture to optimize AI performance in consumer devices. The Software-Hardware System Optimization Lab is searching for a dedicated researcher. Candidates should hold a PhD and have relevant industry experience, emphasizing AI/ML and computer architecture. Responsibilities include researching new GPU architectures and designing AI platforms to enhance user experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Research next-gen GPU/AI architectures for product innovation
- Design and implement AI compute platforms and tools
- Analyze performance metrics across GPU and CPU architectures
- Collaborate across engineering teams to validate ideas
- Build toolchains for AI model evaluation and performance
- PhD in a computer-related field with AI emphasis
- Knowledge of frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Proficiency in C/C++ and performance optimization techniques
- Familiarity with GPU programming, including CUDA or OpenCL
- Experience in creating AI toolchains and evaluation frameworks
