Lead the Division of Respirology at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital, driving excellence in patient care and research. This full-time role requires advanced clinical leadership and academic credentials. As Head of the Division of Respirology, you will oversee a team of 16 respirologists, collaborating closely with departmental and hospital leadership. The position demands about 1-2 days per week dedicated to administrative tasks, with the remainder focused on clinical and academic activities. Responsibilities involve setting strategic goals to enhance patient-centered care and advancing respirology education. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership for clinical and academic services
- Collaborate on annual goals with departmental leadership
- Promote innovation in patient care and research
- Mentor and coordinate a diverse team of respirologists
- Engage in administrative and leadership activities
- MD degree and eligibility for Ontario medical licensure
- Certification in Respirology with the Royal College
- Leadership experience in academic and clinical settings
- Ability to meet bilingual requirements preferred
- Eligible for academic appointment as Associate Professor
