English as a Second Language Teacher

Teach English as a Second Language at Beacon College Prep in Memphis, using differentiated instruction and student data analysis. Build a rigorous, joyful classroom.

Educators provide excellent Tier 1 instruction for scholars in grades K-5. This work includes preparing and delivering lessons, analyzing student data, and providing accommodations, modifications, and supports. Teachers collaborate with teaching and leadership teams while participating in professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create rigorous, engaging, structured, joyful classrooms
• Execute differentiated daily lesson plans
• Analyze data and study student work
• Implement academic and behavioral interventions
• Communicate student progress with families

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required by employment
• Valid State Certification highly preferred
• Urban public school experience preferred
• Commitment to student achievement
• Participation in weekly coaching and professional development
