Shape the well-being of older adults as a Registered Practical Nurse at Legacy Living in Brighton. Engage in meaningful work while promoting resident health and wellness. This part-time position reports to the Health & Wellness Manager and involves delivering direct nursing care, including medication administration and routine health assessments. Your role is crucial for fostering a supportive living environment that respects the dignity and diverse needs of each resident. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and emotional support
- Maintain accurate health records and respond to changes
- Collaborate on care plans and lead staff training
- Ensure a safe environment through effective risk management
- Foster independence and advocate for resident rights
- Degree or diploma focusing on gerontology or long-term care
- Current licensure with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- At least three years in a supervisory capacity
- First Aid and CPR certification needed
- Police Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check required
