Provide personal care and emotional support with VHA Home HealthCare across Toronto communities. Help diverse clients maintain daily living at home.
As a Personal Support Worker, you will assist adults and children with personal care, socialization, mobility, and household activities. You will follow client preferences, care plans, and VHA policies while encouraging independence. The position includes monitoring and reporting changes in client behaviour and condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with grooming, dressing, bathing, and daily living
- Support meal planning and preparation for clients
- Assist mobility and transfers safely within homes
- Complete light cleaning, laundry, and dishwashing duties
- Report changes in client behaviour and condition
Requirements:
- Hold PSW certification from a recognized educational institution
- Read, write, and speak English at grade ten level
- Work weekends or rotational weekends as required
- Travel between assignments across designated service areas
- Demonstrate client and family-centered care commitment
