Key Responsibilities
• Accurately interpret spoken English to American Sign Language
• Facilitate communication between hearing and deaf students
• Provide interpreting in classrooms and during meetings
• Support vocabulary reinforcement and academic concepts
• Prepare for diverse educational interpreting tasks
Requirements:
• Completion of a 2-year Interpreter Training Program
• Fluency in American Sign Language and Signed English
• Over 6 months of interpreting experience
• Membership with CASLI and WAVLI
• Understanding of Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners Utilize your interpreting skills to positively impact students' educational experiences at Qualicum School District. #J-18808-Ljbffr
