Team Responsibilities
- Balancing of all year-end tax slips and completion of year-end government filings in compliance with CRA, Revenu Quebec and IRS regulations
- Distribution of T4, RL1, T4A, RL2, NR4, RCA, 1042‑S, 1099‑R government tax slips and the T2200 and TP64‑3 forms
- Reconciliation and maintenance of regulatory compliance across Canadian and US jurisdictions
- Support of all expatriates and globally mobile employee payroll activities
- Participation in both internal and external audits
- Customized payroll and year-end tax slip support for the CEO and Senior Executive Team
- Managing end to end Board of Directors’ payrolls
- Identifying, reviewing, and preparing POIs for the Group 1‑8 retirees
- Reviewing and correcting taxes from the Retiree Demographic report and the US Tax Data Query
- Respond to employee enquiries through Helpdesk cases
Specific Accountabilities
- Ensuring the integrity of the Workday data through balancing tax slip boxes after each pay cycle, including weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly and quarterly
- Preparation of manual tax slips, including 102 Regulation requirements for cross-border commuters from the US
- Preparation of amended tax slips, including the submission to government agenciesSupport with all payroll accounting year‑end payroll data to ensure they are recorded and processed accurately
- Assist in the creation and implementation of new pay components, including testing and
