TASKS IN THE CLASSROOM Student assistance and support Help students settle into the classroom and prepare for learning activities Assist in developing students' independence (dressing, managing materials, etc.) Provide support for student learning, under the teacher's guidance Student supervision and safety Accompany and supervise students during arrival, dismissal, and transitions Ensure student safety and enforce rules of conduct Provide first aid when needed Classroom organization and administrative support Assist in classroom upkeep and material organization Prepare and display educational materials Help with administrative tasks, such as photocopying or event coordination Collaboration and communication Work alongside the teacher Attend parent meetings upon request Support the planning of activities in collaboration with the principal and school team Desired profile Schooling Meet one of the following 2 profiles: Hold a Secondary School Diploma and an Attestation of Vocational Studies in Daycare Services or Hold a diploma and attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority Experience Have one (1) year of pertinent experience Other requirements Fluent in French and English (written and oral) Hold a certificate dated no more than three (3) years attesting to the successful completion of either: standard first aid course of a minimum eight (8)-hour duration a refresher course of a minimum six(6)-hour duration updating the skills acquired in the course mentioned in subparagraph 1.
