Contributing to both clinic activities and educational initiatives will be essential in this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate visual function and eye movement issues
- Carry out orthoptic assessments and develop treatment plans
- Engage in patient advocacy and education programs
- Mentor and teach healthcare team members
- Respond to patient inquiries and emergencies
- Registration with the Canadian Orthoptic Council
- Membership in the Canadian Orthoptic Society
- Ophthalmic Technology certification required
- Proven teaching and communication skills
- Dedication to professional development
