UVic's Waste Reduction Services seeks a reliable and service-oriented individual for casual coverage in waste collection. Applicants should possess strong communication skills and a good driving record. The flexible hours depend on operational needs and may include weekend shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive collection vehicle for campus waste transport
- Operate equipment related to waste reduction
- Collect and record non-hazardous waste materials
- Maintain vehicle and perform general maintenance tasks
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 driving license with a good record
- Experience in waste collection and transport
- Reliable and flexible schedule for on-call shifts
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to attend work at a moment's notice
