Lead strategic planning and coordination as the Manager, Training and Exercising Coordination for Emergency Management. Enhance Nova Scotia's emergency preparedness through collaboration and training initiatives. Working under the Director of Planning, you will coordinate training and exercise activities for partners in the Department of Emergency Management. Your efforts will strengthen community resilience by aligning resources and delivering impactful training programs. Engage with municipal partners and federal agencies to foster relationships that support emergency preparedness. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate training events and internal initiatives
- Build partnerships with municipalities and organizations
- Confirm timelines and logistics for exercises
- Plan key DEM events and manage materials
- Oversee logistical support for training sessions
- University degree with coordination experience
- Proven program development skills
- Valid Nova Scotia driver's license
- Ability to maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Strong judgment and problem-solving capabilities
