Join JDS Energy & Mining as a Civil CAD Technician focused on mining infrastructure in Vancouver, BC. Leverage your skills in drafting and design to support critical infrastructure development. This full-time role demands expertise in civil engineering and drafting within the mining sector. You will collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for infrastructure projects. Your work will ensure quality and safety standards are met while supporting execution on-site or in-office. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for projects
- Develop site grading and drainage systems layouts
- Collaborate closely with engineers and surveyors
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback
- Maintain drafting standards and document management
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in civil drafting
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of civil design standards
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
