Join the accounting team at MDD, A Davies Company as a Staff Accountant in Calgary, AB. This full-time position emphasizes analytical skills and offers an opportunity to work in forensic accounting. As a Staff Accountant, you will support the accounting functions by performing analyses and evaluations related to financial data. The ideal candidate will either have or be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and CPA designation. You will gain hands-on experience in various business areas through a fast-paced environment focused on learning and development. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze sales, production, and accounting data
- Conduct physical inventory observation and price testing
- Examine source documents relevant to engagements
- Proof and check reports and schedules thoroughly
- Perform interviews to gather relevant information
- Bachelor's degree or Masters, or expected graduate
- Pursuing CPA designation or similar qualification
- Up to 3 years of relevant work experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
