Your construction background and strong work ethic will be essential in this full-time role with extensive training. We seek dedicated individuals with experience in construction to fill our Health and Safety Advisor positions. Candidates should possess robust communication skills and be eager to learn through mentorship. This role entails coaching employees, performing site inspections, and collaborating with teams to enhance safety practices and solve related challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Coach teams on effective safety procedures
- Perform inspections to uphold safety standards
- Investigate incidents for corrective action development
- Foster a culture of safety-driven discussion
- Assist with safety certifications and audits
- Experience in construction is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliability and ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and management software
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License; travel throughout Nova Scotia is required
