Elevate patient care at WRHN as a full-time Personal Support Worker in Waterloo. Your role will involve vital sign measurement and personalized patient support in a dynamic hospital setting. As a Personal Support Worker at WRHN, you will report to the Manager of Patient Flow and assist with daily living activities while ensuring efficient patient flow within the hospital. With a focus on excellent customer service, you will collaborate with healthcare teams and document your care accurately. This position involves working rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, adapting to various units based on hospital needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to patients
- Measure and record vital signs accurately
- Communicate with patients, families, and staff effectively
- Document patient care in the electronic record
- Assist with activities of daily living and patient flow
- PSW Certificate from recognized institution
- 2-3 years of experience as a Personal Support Worker
- Current BCLS certification required
- Knowledge of infection control practices
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
