WSP is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide guidance on complex contracts within the Transportation & Infrastructure sector. In this key role, you will offer practical legal advice throughout project life cycles, negotiate substantial contracts, and contribute to risk assessment for major initiatives. Your insight will be vital in safeguarding WSP's interests while supporting project teams with legal judgment. Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and draft contracts for major projects in Canada
- Advise on strategic opportunities and project delivery
- Review public and private proposals for significant contracts
- Evaluate legal risks and present recommendations to committees
- Collaborate with internal teams on legal documents
- Membership in a Canadian provincial bar
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience
- Proven expertise in commercial agreements
- Familiarity with transportation and infrastructure projects
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
