Job Description: Business Systems Analyst Location: Remote (Canada- Occasional Travel) Job Type: Full Time SUMMARY The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for business applications, documenting business, functional, and technical requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver solutions that support operational and production systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment. RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage and oversee the software development lifecycle for assigned projects. • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements. • Collaborate with stakeholders across manufacturing and retail operations to identify system needs and improvements. • Collaborate with developers during iterative testing cycles to ensure requirements are met and issues are resolved promptly. • Work closely with developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure requirements are met. • Develop comprehensive user test plans aligned with business requirements and system functionality. • Oversee the end-to-end testing process, including coordination of internal and external resources. • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and obtain formal sign-off from stakeholders prior to deployment. • Support production systems and troubleshoot issues as needed. • Assist in integration efforts between various business applications. • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with corporate standards. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in a corporate environment. • Strong understanding of SDLC. • Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation tools. • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and integration platforms. • Experience with data analysis and reporting. • Certifications including Business Analyst certification (CBAP, CCBA) or Agile/Scrum are also a plus.
