The RoleWe are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise, strong multi-account architecture experience, and proven leadership capability. This role owns cloud infrastructure strategy, CI/CD systems, security posture, observability, and infrastructure governance across production and regulated environments.This is a hands-on role (approximately 80% execution, 20% mentoring and knowledge transfer) focused on building resilient, compliant, and highly available systems aligned with defined SLAs.Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Multi-Account Strategy
Design and manage AWS Organizations across multiple accountsArchitect multi-region, highly available systems aligned with SLAsDesign secure VPC and private subnet strategies, including Transit Gateways and VPN/NGINX tunnelsImplement expert-level IAM governance (least privilege, SSO, Verified Permissions)Continuously evolve cloud architecture to meet fintech-grade reliability and compliance requirementsInfrastructure as Code & CI/CD Leadership
Lead advanced Terraform implementations in complex, multi-account environmentsDesign scalable Terraform module architecture and state management strategiesOwn and scale GitLab CI/CD pipelines and SaaS runnersBuild AMI pipelines and infrastructure automation using Python, Go, or Bash with deterministic buildsImprove deployment velocity without compromising securityContainers, Orchestration & Observability
Architect and operate Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS environmentsManage ECR, image scanning, and auto-scaling strategiesImplement observability using Datadog (preferred) or Prometheus/ThanosDefine and manage SLIs and SLOs aligned to business SLAsLead incident response, post-mortems, and root cause analysisArchitect and operate AWS RDS databasesSecurity & Compliance
Resolve CIS Benchmark and AWS Security Hub findingsHarden AWS infrastructure and container workloadsManage secrets using HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets ManagerSupport PCI and regulated fintech/crypto compliance requirementsStrengthen cloud security controls across infrastructure and CI/CD pipelinesEdge, Connectivity & Cloudflare
Manage Cloudflare services including Firewall, Zero Trust, WARP, Access, and DNSDesign secure edge networking and connectivity patternsSupport secure connectivity for crypto infrastructure componentsLead and support cloud migration initiatives as requiredFinOps & Governance
Implement cost optimization and tagging strategiesIdentify and eliminate unused resources to reduce cloud wasteProduce architecture documentation and operational runbooksDrive infrastructure governance, standards, and best practicesQualifications
7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering5+ years owning and operating production AWS environmentsDeep expertise in AWS architecture, security, and networkingAdvanced Terraform experience in complex environmentsStrong CI/CD architecture experience (GitLab preferred)Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) or ECSProfessional scripting experience in Python, Go, or BashExperience in PCI-compliant or regulated fintech/crypto environmentsStrong understanding of SLAs and designing systems to meet themDemonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilityPreferred Certifications & Experience
