Responsibilities Tasks Mountain driving expertise Professionalism in customer service Drive lighter, special purpose trucks Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform brake adjustments Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Transport and handle dangerous goods Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Air Brakes Endorsement Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Experience and specialization Documentation knowledge Accident or incident reports Driver logbook Type of trucking and equipment Flatbed Tractor-trailer Transportation/travel experience International Long-haul Additional information Security and safety Valid passport Criminal record check Driver's validity licence check Driving record check (abstract) Transportation/travel information Own transportation Valid driver's licence Weight handling ~ Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Own tools/equipment ~ Cellular phone Personal suitability ~ Team player Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Vision care benefits Other Benefits Free parking available Other benefits Parking available
