Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to build a robust HR foundation and foster a positive, growth-oriented workplace culture.
Job Summary:
The HR Manager will develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's growth objectives. This role will focus on talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, performance management, and benefits optimization. The HR Manager will also be instrumental in creating structured HR processes and systems to support long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and Lead the HR Function – Develop and manage the company's first dedicated HR department, providing strategic and operational HR support.
- Workforce Planning & Employee Relations – Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational development, employee relations, and workforce planning.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding – Develop and execute a structured recruitment strategy and create a seamless onboarding process to foster early engagement.
- Performance Management & Employee Development – Implement a framework for goal setting, regular feedback, and performance reviews while providing coaching to managers.
- Employee Engagement & Retention – Develop initiatives to enhance engagement, satisfaction, and retention, including open communication channels with leadership.
- HR Policies & Compliance – Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal labour laws.
- Compensation & Benefits Management – Benchmark, recommend and implement competitive benefits and compensation strategies.
- HR Systems & Data Management – Select and implement an HRIS to streamline HR functions and leverage data for informed decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management – Stay updated on labour laws and regulations, ensuring all HR policies and practices align with legal requirements.
- Culture & Organizational Growth – Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with company growth, fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of HR management experience, preferably in multi-site operations.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, policy development, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- CHRP designation.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
