This Senior Buyer sources avionics systems, electrical components, modification kits, and related aircraft materials. You will manage complex suppliers and purchasing decisions across technical, quality, cost, and delivery requirements. The work supports aircraft modification, maintenance, repair, and upgrade programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sourcing for avionics, wiring, connectors, instruments, and aircraft componentsDevelop procurement strategies for modification, maintenance, repair, and upgrade programsReview bills of material, drawings, specifications, and engineering requirementsEvaluate supplier proposals and negotiate pricing, lead times, warranties, and termsManage purchase orders, expediting, shortages, and schedule risks through deliveryRequirements:
Postsecondary education in supply chain, business, engineering technology, aviation, or related disciplineMinimum eight years of progressive procurement or supply chain experienceSignificant aviation, aerospace, maintenance, modification, manufacturing, or defence experienceExperience purchasing technically complex aerospace materials and managing high-value ordersERP or MRP experience with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiencyBring aviation procurement leadership, technical judgment, and supplier management expertise to Mid-Canada Mod Center’s aerospace programs.
