You will also work closely with various teams to analyze, strategize and implement security operations to meet and exceed client expectations and optimize mobile operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise day and overnight Mobile Security Operations.
  • Supervise and train mobile supervisors and overnight mobile security officers.
  • Spot check guards to ensure Post Orders are being followed and they are adhering to company/client policies.
  • Conduct spot checks to ensure that the overnight staff is on-site, well trained, well dressed, knowledgeable, has the right attitude towards their role, and fully comprehends what their role is meant to accomplish.
  • Deliver resources to sites when required, and at the same time, check on the quality service levels being provided by our employees, ensuring that he/she is very aware of the job functions and performing them properly.
  • Utilize the scheduling system to manage staff assignments and monitor their activities at different locations during your shift.
  • Address onsite issues promptly as requested by the Operations Manager and provide backup services when required.
  • Proactively deal with onsite issues to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Visit assigned sites regularly to ensure excellent client care and foster positive working relationships with security personnel.
  • Motivate and coach employees to enhance their performance and job satisfaction.
  • Provide key control measures when needed.
  • Cover floor time if needed.
  • Defuse disturbances by company policies and procedures.
  • Understand and have knowledge of the company policies pertaining to the well-being of staff and the provision of operational services.
  • Handle all interruptions and complaints in the assigned district.
  • Oversee completion of staff site reports are done accurately and professionally, helping site staff to develop this skill to an expected level.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and site guards.
  • Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
  • Defuse potentially volatile situations and intervene when necessary.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy.

Job Requirements

  • Valid Security License is required.
  • A valid Driver's license and own vehicle are required.
  • Willingness to provide a Clean Drivers Abstract.
  • Must be available to work shifts during the afternoon and overnight, as well as, day shifts as required.
  • Prior supervisory and management experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of mobile operations and protocols.
  • 3 + years of experience working in Mobile Security and leading teams.
  • Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters preferred.
  • Proven leadership abilities, able to mentor and lead a team of security professionals effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to stakeholders.
  • Retail security experience is an asset.
