This Junior Accountant role supports accounting operations at JBS Canada's Calgary facility. You will process vendor payments, investigate claims, manage fixed assets, and reconcile inventory. The position also involves journal entries, account analysis, documentation, and process improvement. Strong accounting knowledge, communication skills, and attention to detail are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor payments accurately and manage the Accounts Payable mailbox
- Investigate claims and deductions with urgency
- Manage fixed assets, audits, and system updates
- Reconcile daily inventory across onsite and outside locations
- Prepare journal entries and explain account fluctuations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts and reporting
- Analytical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required
