Become a key player at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board as a Financial Analyst. This full-time role involves crucial financial operations, analysis, and reporting to support educational programs. This role is based at the OCDSB Administration Building in Ottawa. As a Financial Analyst, you'll support the Finance Department and Indigenous Education Programs with day-to-day operations, budgeting, and financial reporting. You'll need to demonstrate strong analytical skills, ensure accurate data entry, and facilitate financial guidance to program staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily financial operations and reporting cycles
- Prepare budgets and monitor program expenditures
- Ensure accurate financial entries for Indigenous Education Programs
- Conduct variance analyses for management review
- Maintain compliance with Ministry of Education guidelines
- Diploma in Accounting or related field; 4 years experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and budgeting processes
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and high workloads
