Automation Engineer

Position : Automation Engineer – Devops Location : Toronto, On – Hybrid Key Responsibilities : Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API/microservices testing. Implement automated test scripts using Java and/or Python. Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent). Build and maintain CI/CD workflows to support continuous testing and deployment. Develop automation strategies that align with agile development practices. Troubleshoot automation issues and ensure test environments are stable and reliable. Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process automation and improvement. Support and maintain test results reporting and defect tracking through DevOps tools. Required Skills and Experience: Experience in Test Automation and DevOps Automation. Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python. Expertise in UI and mobile application automation (e.g., Selenium, Appium). Hands-on experience with API and microservices automation (e.g., REST Assured, Postman, Karate). Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other DevOps tools is an asset. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
