Apply financial modeling and M&A analysis as an Analyst with CIBC’s Mid-Market Investment Banking team in Toronto. Support transactions for Canadian companies.
This Analyst position supports senior bankers executing mandates for companies valued between $10 million and $150 million. You will research industries, buyers, valuation metrics, and market developments. The work also includes financial modeling, business development proposals, confidential information memorandums, and client materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research industries, potential buyers, and public valuation metrics
- Build financial models for acquisitions and recapitalizations
- Prepare proposals, pitch books, and confidential information memorandums
- Assist Managing Directors with business development meetings
- Maintain group databases and complete valuation analysis
Requirements:
- One to two years in corporate finance, commercial banking, or investment banking
- Financial analysis and Excel modeling experience
- PowerPoint experience creating business development proposals
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent knowledge
- Ability to assess unstructured business problems
