Immediate contract opportunity for a Mainframe IMS DB Tools Specialist in Toronto, ON (Remote). Utilize your IMS expertise and core DB skills in this 6+ months role with long-term potential. We are seeking a qualified candidate to manage and configure IMS in a parallel sysplex environment. You will work with IBM IMS Tools, carry out systems programming, and establish key database management policies. Your role will also involve leading migrations from third-party products and conducting customer training on IMS tools.

Key Responsibilities
• Install and manage IMS in parallel sysplex environment
• Configure and oversee IBM IMS Tools functionalities
• Lead complex migration projects for IMS Tools
• Develop and execute customer training sessions
• Review new IMS versions and their client benefits

Requirements:
• 16+ years of IMS system programming experience
• Expertise in database design and functionalities
• Proficient in IMS database organization and methodologies
• Knowledge of database monitoring and space management
