Volunteer Experience · Work Experience · Work & Career Title: Home Child Care Provider ("Child Care Provider") Term: Full time, 30 hours/Per Week Position – Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and care for a young toddler in the employer’s residence, with potential to care for additional children in the future. Plan, prepare, and serve healthy meals and snacks following dietary preferences and restrictions. Perform light and incidental housekeeping duties. Oversee the child’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the employer. Organize and engage in educational and play activities to foster development, such as games, sports, crafts, reading, and play outings. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Instruct and assist the child with personal hygiene, including bath time, dressing, and other daily routines. Tend to the child’s emotional well‑being and support social development. Discipline the child in accordance with the methods set out by the parents. Take the child to school, daycare, extracurricular activities, play‑dates, and appointments. Communicate effectively with the employer about daily activities, progress, and any concerns or issues relating to the child. Requirements Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate or working toward the same. Enhanced Responsible Adult Course Certificate. Food Safety Certificate. At least 3 years of experience in home care or support industry with a track record of success and specific experience caring for a toddler. Willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the parents’ schedule, working intermittently weekdays and weekends for a total of 30 hours per week. Ability to concurrently care for more than one child. Independent worker with minimum supervision. Strong references are mandatory. Valid driver’s license and vehicle; car seats provided by employer.
