Employer Industry: Environmental Consulting in Water Resources Management Why consider this job opportunity: Salary anticipated range of $140,000–180,000 annually Eligibility for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance Hybrid work arrangement allowing for flexibility between office and home Remote work option may be available based on qualifications and local regulations Opportunity to mentor junior staff and lead multidisciplinary project teams Work in a supportive environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): Lead technical analyses related to water balance modeling Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and engineering studies Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary project teams while mentoring junior staff Advise clients on mine water management strategies through alternatives analyses Engage in business development activities, including conference presentations and proposal writing What is Required (Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in math, science, engineering, or a related discipline 10+ years of relevant experience in water resource management Experience developing water balance models and designing surface water impoundments Proficiency in statistical analysis of hydrological data and advising clients on mine water management strategies Possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): More than 10 years of experience in consulting engineering or mining/industrial worksites M.Sc. or PhD in civil or environmental engineering P.Eng. registration or eligibility for immediate registration with APEGA Familiarity with hydrologic modeling software such as GoldSim or HEC-RAS Experience with mine closure and reclamation planning involving community involvement We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
