(Synergy) is pleased to offer an opportunity to join our busy team as a land agent (intermediate to senior), in our Calgary office.About SynergySynergy is dedicated to providing high-quality land and right-of-way services for projects ranging from large-scale pipeline, power transmission, transportation/infrastructure, telecommunications, upstream oil and gas, renewables, and mineral acquisition.Job Responsibilitiesnegotiating and acquiring land-use agreements with landowners, occupants, stakeholdersconducting site reviews and assessmentscommunicating and delivering project information to stakeholdersunderstanding, responding to and anticipating client concerns, needs and requests, and maintaining commitmentscollaborating with others to formulate creative solutions for landowner problems, concerns and issuesmentoring agent team membersliaison between clients and stakeholders; communicating issues and concernsthorough documentation of all activitiesstrictly adhering to all Synergy policies and proceduresparticipating in and strictly adhering to Synergy HSE policies and proceduresstaying current on relevant local affairs/newsperforming other duties as requiredRequirementsThree (intermediate) to 10+ (senior) years’ industry-related experiencepost-secondary education and/or diploma from accredited land programvalid land agent licensevalid Class 5 driver’s licensevalid Standard First Aidvalid WHMIS trainingreliable vehicle for travel to and from stakeholder meetingsvalid Commissioner for Oathshigh level of integrity working with confidential documents and informationin-depth level knowledge and understanding of surface land legislation, regulations and of Canadian/provincial regulatory processesself-motivated with a strong desire to learnability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging work environmentexcellent problem solving and negotiation skillshighly effective written and verbal communication skillscommitted team player with the ability to work independentlyadherence to the highest ethical and professional standardsacute attention to detailhigh proficiency in MS OfficeIf you are looking for an opportunity to refine your professional skills and grow your career in the land industry, Synergy is the place for you.Synergy is an equal opportunity employer.
