Job Description Reporting to the Manager of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the provision of assistance to the Pharmacists with such duties as unit-dose dispensing, compounding medications, issuing ward stock and narcotics, preparation of sterile products, recording and labelling supplies and stock, and other duties as assigned. Requirements Graduate of a CCAPP accredited Pharmacy Technician ProgramRegistered Pharmacy Technician with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)Hospital experience with a computerized unit-dose distribution system and IV admixture serviceDemonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skillsProven organizational skills in a fast paced environmentExposure to Lean principles, an understanding of methodologies and tools and a commitment to the use of these in support of providing the best healthcare experience possible to our patientsDemonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and publicDemonstrates values consistent with SHN’s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislationUtilize protective equipment provided and identify and reports hazardsEngages in ethical conduct and strives to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient/staff population and communityExcellent work performance and attendance Accommodation And Diversity Statement Scarborough Health Network (SHN) embraces and celebrates our community’s unique multicultural heritage and diversity.
