The Role Do you want to drive end‑to‑end delivery of artificial intelligence, math, computer vision, and communication libraries to enable high performance computing and artificial intelligence? AMD is searching for a talented and motivated Program Manager to join the GPU libraries team developing libraries as part of the AMD ROCm™ Open Software Platform. The Person You are accustomed to working in a dynamic, geographically distributed agile team, where partnership and collaboration are paramount. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organization, and attention to detail. With a keen interest in data, you will draw on your strong technical background, analytical capabilities, and interpersonal skills to drive process improvements, improve program operations, and engage with key partners at all levels, from driving technical discussions with developers to communicating with executives. Key Responsibilities Work closely with Engineering Managers, Software Developers, Product Managers, and other Program Managers to support project planning and execution of ROCm communication libraries such as RCCL. Serve as a point of contact for strategic customers, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the program lifecycle. Translate customer needs into actionable program goals, timelines, and deliverables. Drive continuous improvement by gathering customer feedback and integrating insights into future initiatives. Facilitate executive‑level updates and customer‑facing presentations to communicate progress and outcomes. Participate in the development of project plans and schedules; develop and improve processes for project tracking and risk mitigation. Ensure timely delivery of program milestones while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Help develop and implement effective and repeatable operational processes and procedures. Work hand‑in‑hand with engineering counterparts across global sites to plan/align budget and head‑count, and to find operational efficiencies. Support engineering management with resource planning (people and materials), and drive execution. Develop documentation and training materials. Collect, analyze, organize, and publish data via dashboards and recurring status reports. Improve tracking, reporting, and forecasting by developing dashboards and automations. Provide general operational support for the AMD GPU libraries team. Preferred Experience Experience working in complex, interrelated software projects and programs using agile and waterfall methodologies. Previous experience as a software developer of similar roles. Experience with parallel/distributed systems, including distributed and parallel algorithms. Direct experience with relevant domains such as high‑performance computing, artificial intelligence, and GPU software development. Knowledge of software development, including testing, profiling, CI/CD, debugging, documentation, issue tracking, and planning. Understanding of version control such as Git and GitHub. Strong data analysis and presentation skills. Comfortable with Jira and Confluence. Experience with common PM tools such as Microsoft Project and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Conflict management and stakeholder relationship management. Experience with project delivery across multiple time zones. Academic Credentials Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
