The Manufacturing Engineer will implement and maintain efficient manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures; coordinate the introduction of new products into manufacturing; and identify and solve production-related problems for assigned products.You Will Be Accountable ForDeveloping, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.Interfacing with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.Estimating manufacturing costs, determining time standards, process qualifications, work instructions, and making recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing product lines.Creating and maintaining required documentation for manufacturing processes, process-failure-mode-effects-analysis, value-stream-maps, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.Researching and testing design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, poka-yoke, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.Collaborating with Quality Engineering to monitor product yield and provide product factory/field failure root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.You Are The Right Person For This Job If You HaveBachelor of Applied Science in Engineering – prefer Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering6-9 years relevant experienceProven knowledge of manufacturing engineering concepts, principles, and theoriesIn-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles, TAKT, value-stream-mappingExcellent written and verbal communications skillsAbility to clearly recognize and export information relevant to sound manufacturing engineering designKnowledge of manufacturing processes, problem-solving techniques, and quality processesExcellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communicationAble to work in a team environmentProficient with MS OfficeFamiliarity with ERP (JDE) system is an assetProficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancingAbility to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads, customers, and functional leads, and to provide daily direction and guidance to junior associatesMust be able to meet CGP requirementsWho We AreWe value the unique and diverse skills, qualities, and backgrounds that each employee brings to CPI.
