OverviewHuawei Canada has an immediate permanent opening for a Senior Principal Technical Planning Manager in AI/ML.About the team: The Computing Data Application Acceleration Lab aims to create a leading global data analytics platform organized into three specialized teams using innovative programming technologies. This team focuses on full-stack innovations, including software-hardware co-design and optimizing data efficiency at both the storage and runtime layers. This team also develops next-generation GPU architecture for gaming, cloud rendering, VR/AR, and Metaverse applications. One of the goals of this lab is to enhance algorithm performance and training efficiency across industries, fostering long-term competitiveness.About the jobStay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and research achievements in the AI/ML domain, generating insightful technology reports.Drive the evaluation and adoption of cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and methodologies.Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic technical plans and lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of AI/ML projects.Understand pain points and mid-to-long-term requirements, fostering collaborations with local university professors and industry resources for joint projects.Identify new investment opportunities, advocate for the expansion of technology teams and increasing investments.Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the AI/ML team.QualificationsEducational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Demonstrated technical research and development experience in AI/ML domains.Experience in heterogeneous (CPU/GPU/NPU) computing, high performance AI computing architecture; Big Data and Graphics Processing is an asset.Keen sense of technology to distill complex information and generate in-depth insight reports.Strong communication and presentation skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.Adaptability to a global team and active participation in external conferences to stay current with industry trends.The base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $350,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.LocationSurrey, British Columbia, Canada #J-18808-Ljbffr
