The Opportunity:
The National Construction Practice Lead will be the expert in the construction segment with responsibility for all aspects including new product development, marketing, mentoring internal staff, profitability, and growth of the construction segment.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- The National Practice results including growth, profitability, marketing, relationships with key stakeholders, compliance and audit
- New business development & product underwriting and renewal retention through marketing visits to key broker partners
- Being key contact for team members working on New business or Renewals within the construction segment including referrals
- Development of a dedicated team of specialist Underwriters within the Construction practice
- Provide training and technical support for internal staff
- Market research and product development to ensure we have the most competitive product available
- Key liaison with the markets for product development
Here’s what you bring:
- Senior or Executive Underwriter with 10+ years Underwriting Experience with a specialty in Course of Construction
- Completion of CIP, FCIP or other Professional Designation an asset
