Do you want to have a job where you can really enjoy yourself and make a difference?Dive in and join us Come Join an exciting new swim school as our Lead Swim InstructorResponsibilitiesReports to and communicates directly with the Aquatics Director or ManagerWork a flexible schedule that may include holidays and weekends as required by business needs and as requested by managementBe correctly dressed in British Swim School uniform and prepared pool-side at least 15 minutes before the start of your first lessonEngagement with children/swimmers while smiling, singing, and having fun while teaching lessonsDisciplined to follow schedules and enforce safety procedures as well as follow policies, teaching techniques and procedures of British Swim SchoolUsing your training to teach these techniques to all new swim instructors that join our program with an emphasis on survival skillsObserving classes and performing coaching reports to ensure proper safety protocols and swim techniques are being followed to British Swim School brand standardsAttending staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by the Aquatics Director or ManagerConducting monthly in-service meetings and on-going training for the instructor teamInforming the Deck Ambassador of any needs or maintenance issues that need addressingSpeaking to parents/customers about their children’s progressOther responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Director or Franchise Business Owner.This position will start as a part-time role with an emphasis on teaching swim classes. As the business grows, there’s potential to transition to full time.RequirementsLifeguard, CPR and First Aid (current preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment).Willing to learn and able to follow franchise brand standards and guidelinesPrevious experience as a swim instructorKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEnthusiastic, assertive personality with strong relationship and customer service skills.Effectively communicate with customers and employees, bi-lingual is a plus.Able to demonstrate swim strokes appropriately.You will receive paid in-depth online and hands on training that will stay with you the rest of your professional careerGenuine opportunity for growthOpportunity to make a difference in the lives of othersFlexible hoursCompetitive payHoursHours may include weekends, mornings, late afternoons and early evenings.CompensationRate: $20 to $23 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.MissionWorking at British Swim School is so much more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to leave a legacy that may transform a child’s life.Since opening our doors in 1981, British Swim School has rapidly grown to be the premier water survival and learn-to-swim school.
