Core Responsibilities The Design Manager collaborates with the VP to lead the design process with the team. You understand the brand essence, coach and lead it, and embed intuitive innovation into each product. Lead, inspire, and coach the design team; manage people and processes. Recruit, manage workflow, allocate resources, and support team performance. Partner across product, merchandising, sourcing, fit, and design operations to create cohesive lines. Set seasonal narrative, ensure alignment with brand ethos, and present concepts to leadership. Oversee day‑to‑day execution of seasonal styles, ensuring quality, function, and design excellence. Monitor timelines, margins, and discipline, instilling industry knowledge and market research. Collaborate with ambassadors/athletes and in‑house workshop for mockups, prototypes, and fit sessions. Champion product storytelling, color, and construction for the team. Drive innovation in outerwear, exploring closures, pocketing, venting, comfort, and new solutions. Translate streetwear and runway trends into functional outerwear designs. Foster a culture of openness, feedback, and continuous learning. Qualifications 8–10 years minimum experience, combination of industry experience and people management. BA, BFA, or BS in Design (or equivalent). Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Word, and Mac platform. Awareness and understanding of 3D and generative AI design tools. Additional Notes Immigration support is potentially available for this role. Compensation and Benefits Package lululemon’s compensation offers a pay-for-performance philosophy. Typical hiring range is $129,600–$170,100 CAD annually, based on location and market factors. Employees may be eligible for a competitive annual bonus program.
