Library Associate (Circulation & Reference Associate), Holmes Public Library (Halifax) The Circulation & Reference Library Associate is responsible for the circulation of library materials. This position is required to provide impeccable and timely customer service. This position will strive to foster a culture that embraces the library’s goal of being an inclusive community gathering place that inspires lifelong learning. This position also acts as a substitute librarian and is the first to be called in the event staff are required for building operations. This position will be from 8-19.5 hours per week. This is a non-benefited non-union position. Qualifications BA/BS preferred. Public library reference experience preferred, strong public service and organizational skills, knowledge of and experience with using mobile devices, and other emerging technologies for libraries are preferred. As a condition of employment, the employee must pass a CORI check.
