Produce Associate

Produce Associate – T & T Supermarket Reporting to the Produce Department Head (or his/her delegates), this position is responsible for preparing various produce products in advance for customers to choose from. The position also needs to stock produce onto the display cases in the sales area, follow FIFO concept, provide good customer service by fulfilling their requests, and maintain inventory and workplace cleanliness. Maintain inventory and product freshness following FIFO concept; ensure full display of various produce products. Perform regular quality check, follow procedures to process sub‑standard products and manage shrinkage. Prepare various produce for sales activities, including but not limited to sort, cut, wash, weigh, pack and label produce products and display them in the display cases. Greet customers with good customer service, smiles, friendliness and enthusiasm. Assist customers in produce product selection and provide recommendations as required. Maintain workplace cleanliness by washing and maintaining relevant work tools, clean and well‑kept. Keep display cases and walk‑in coolers clean and tidy. Be flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays. Be prepared to stand for a long time and to handle products and lift items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis; use related tools in a safe manner. Be prepared to work in a low temperature (0-4 ℃) environment regularly. Not be allergic to handling produce products. Have knowledge of basic work safety.
