The position is based in Whitehorse, Yukon.Who We ArePopulation and Public Health, Evidence and Evaluation (PPHEE) team, part of the Innovation, Quality and Performance division, uses data and local evidence collaboratively to support policy and decision making with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of all Yukoners.Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a highly skilled individual with exceptional oral and written communication abilities, adept at conveying complex information effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and a solid background in health and health system data. Proficiency in manipulating and linking large, intricate datasets is essential. Familiarity with advanced statistical analysis techniques, particularly in a healthcare context, is highly desirable. A passion for continuous learning and a willingness to embrace new technologies are key attributes we value.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement data projects of medium to large scaleAnalyse data to support policy and decision makingQualificationsPost Secondary education in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Science, Statistics or related fieldProficiency with programming languages commonly used in data analysis, such as Python, R, or SQLExperience in designing, developing, and implementing data projects of medium to large scaleExperience with advanced statistical analysis techniques and concepts, and applying them to data sets, ideally in a health environmentApplication RequirementsSubmit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications.
