The work we do makes a difference in communities and for the people who live there. We have a passion for it. Your roleJoin our team as a Senior Project Manager with the Alberta Team. In this role, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who can act as a trusted advisor to our clients and have built strong, lasting relationships with senior leaders. You bring in-depth construction knowledge and have led and managed complex project teams within different construction delivery methodologies. You have experience leading civil infrastructure projects with significant complexity. In addition to leading projects, your experience and drive will help position our team in the pursuit of upcoming capital healthcare and education projects throughout the Alberta Business Unit, in Grand Prairie. ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate company values and cultural behaviorsConsult directly with clients and stakeholders to successfully complete long‑term care and/or healthcare projects, varying in size, scope and complexityUnderstand and represent your clients’ best interests regarding project outcomesManage client relationships and be attentive to new or changing requirementsLead the development of project plans by defining client objectives and success criteria, schedule and budget development, procurement management, risk planning and communication/stakeholder managementLead major procurement efforts and contract negotiations for architects, contractors and third‑party consultantsLead and mentor multiple project delivery teams through project management activities including procurement, risk, cost, schedule, scope and stakeholder managementOversee project delivery team performance, while escalating delivery issues as requiredProvide financial framework, forecasts and cost tracking and regular financial reportingBe accountable for quality deliverables and client satisfaction QualificationsA minimum of 8 years’ capital project management experience; with a minimum 5 years leading large scale project mandates varying in scope and complexityExperience in pursuing, securing and leading healthcare and (or) education projects is considered a strong asset, municipal and other building construction experience is considered relevantA university degree or college diploma in engineering, architecture or construction management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract types and relevant legislationProfessional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry recognized designation is considered a strong assetStrong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project and technical issuesExcellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills What You Can ExpectAn opportunity to truly impact our communitiesA flexible work environmentA comprehensive onboarding experienceSignificant professional development, training, and a mentorship programA paid volunteer dayAn environment where people feel welcome, heard and included, regardless of their differencesAnd much more DisclaimerColliers Project Leaders is part of Colliers (NASDAQ, TSX: CIGI), a leading diversified professional services and investment management company, with more than 17,000 professionals operating in 63 countries.
