Bakery Service Associate Reporting to the Bakery Department Head, this position slices, cuts, packs, labels and prepares various bakery products (bread, cake, and other pastries) in advance for customers to choose from. The position also stocks bakery products onto sales area display cases and display cooler, provides excellent customer service, maintains inventory, and keeps the workplace clean. T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC and has since grown to Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain, with 36 stores across the country. The company’s continuous expansion brings new stores in the coming years. Responsibilities Greet customers by providing good customer service with smiles, friendliness, and enthusiasm. Assist customers in selecting bakery products and provide recommendations as required. Ensure product quality, food safety, freshness and that FIFO is strictly practiced within the department. Slice, pack, and prepare bakery products (bread, cake, and other pastries), correctly label, and display items in the display areas and cases. Maintain workplace cleanliness by washing and keeping relevant work tools clean and well‑kept. Keep product displays full, attractive, and neat; replenish inventory promptly when necessary. Follow procedures to verify and process expired bakery products and manage shrinkage. Receive product deliveries, perform quality checks on products received, and take customer orders. Ensure daily sales and other checklists are properly completed. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Work flexibly in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours, and statutory holidays. Stand for long periods and handle hands‑on duties, including lifting products up to 20 pounds regularly. Be a good team player. Have basic workplace safety knowledge. Possess relevant experience and bakery product knowledge, including display, promotion, and packaging techniques (preferred).
