PURPOSE: This position will be directly responsible for planning, directing and managing all accounting/finance functions as well as supporting the General Manager. As Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing a company’s accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision‑making. JOB DESCRIPTION Strategic Leadership:Ensure company activities with the overall strategy, challenge assumptions, and drive innovation and continuous improvement. Operational Insights:Support strategy and cost analysis, access variances, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Management Collaboration:Present financial results to executive teams, discuss concerns, and propose solutions with practical insights. Capital Investment:Write Capital investment business cases, monitor capital project spend and savings. Financial Expertise:Manage accounting, financial reporting, and operational data analysis, including financial results, projections, and profitability evaluations. Product Costing Oversight:Review and improve costing models to determine standard costs, provide costings for new product innovation. Projections & Budgeting:Responsible for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Employee Development:Lead, develop and mentor staff through effective feedback and career progression planning. REQUIREMENTS An undergraduate degree combined with the completion of a professional accounting qualification (CPA). Hands on, roll up the sleeves professional with a demonstrated track record of success in a manufacturing finance environment. Is proficient with computer applications including the MS Office suite of products. Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection. Cost accounting experience. Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
