Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeCA$80,000.00/yr - CA$100,000.00/yrA well known Mid-sized ICI focused General Contractor specialising on Mid to large ICI new builds and renovations is looking for a new Estimator who aims to progress and grow a long term career.Our client is a well known and well established ICI focused General Contractor focusing mainly on Corporate and Institutional new builds and renovations.DescriptionReporting to the Lead Estimator, the successful candidate will be involved in all estimating activities for the organisation.You will successfully track down project leads turning them into bidding opportunities, solicit pricing from trade partners and develops detailed budgets and competitive bids and proposals in order to meet the objective of continued and sustainable growth of the Company.ResponsibilitiesRecommending and implementing winning tendering strategiesProduce detailed quantity take-offs and price labour, material and equipment portions of estimatesQualifying bidding and prequalification opportunitiesAnalyzing project risk and implementing risk mitigation strategiesManage the estimating and tender closingsFoster and maintain positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.ProfileSkills & ExperienceHave at least 3 (three) years experience as an estimatorAt least 3 years construction experience in ICI construction estimating.Hold a relevant professional degree (engineering (P.Eng) etc).Have experience in estimating LEED projectsHave knowledge of local market conditionsDirect estimating experience in the capacity of Estimator of Mid-large Institutional, Commercial, Industrial projects valued between $1million and $60 millionBe eligible for security clearances and possess a valid driver's licenseWorking knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), MS Project or Primavera scheduling software and industry leading estimating/quantity take off softwareJob OfferA basic salary of up to $100,000Health/dental/vision insuranceRRSP MatchCompany profit shareDesired Skills and ExperienceClient DetailsA well known Mid-sized ICI focused General Contractor specialising on Mid to large ICI new builds and renovations is looking for a new Estimator who aims to progress and grow a long term career.Our client is a well known and well established ICI focused General Contractor focusing mainly on Corporate and Institutional new builds and renovations.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class otherwise protected under applicable human rights legislation.
