The Assistant Director shall not accept outside employment that interferes with the duties of the Center.Assistant Director Duties and Responsibilities :Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectivesPartners with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their childrenCultivates positive relationships with families, teachers, CA state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partnersServes in various roles throughout the center as needed including teacher, cook and / or driverEnsures and facilitates smooth functioning of all aspects of the Center in order to best serve children and familiesWorks closely with the Owner and the Center Director of TLE to ensure the efficient administrative operation of the CenterWill maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk areaWill maintain stock cleanliness of infirmary according to CA state regulationsWill ensure the cleaning of center laundryWill maintain clean floors by sweeping, mopping and vacuuming as neededMaintain clean walls in the classroomAssists Director in ensuring that licensing requirements are met at all timesMaintains accurate sign-in and sign-out attendance records of childrenHelps to coordinate staff scheduling within approved teacher-child ratios; schedules and assigns staff breaksAssists with ensuring that TLE curriculum, lesson plans are implemented and current in each classroomEnsures that all bulletin boards are nicely decorated and currentAssists with ensuring that each classroom is running smoothly, following and implementing all CA state and TLE requirements (feeding, diapering, toy baths, clean, neat rooms, etc.)Assists with supervision of “Safe and Secure” app for each classroomProvides supervision, leadership and support to all Center staffAssists with the facilitation of the recruitment and coordinates, assists in the hiring and orientation of all new staff to the Center, within TLE-approved processes and policesConsults, supports and provides guidance to teaching staff in evaluating and revising children’s programming as requiredDevelops and maintains positive relationships and regular communication with parents; facilities or directly provides mediation and resolution to minor parent-program conflicts which ariseAssists Director with regular liaison and communication, as required and applicable, with third parties, including custodial service, maintenance services, etc.Markets the Center to prospective client-parents, within TLE standardsGives tours, and assists with follow-up with potential client-parentsIn collaboration with the teaching team, assists in with the placement, orientation and evaluation of students at TLEIs an active, contributing member of TLE’s Management Team, providing input to the Director and Owner on policy and other matters affecting the Center. Assists in the dissemination of key messages on decisions made by the Management Team to Center staff on an ongoing basis.Represents TLE by participation on committees in the Child Care CommunityPerforms other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Director of the CenterProfessional appearance is required at all timesPerforms duties & routine to open or close the CenterThe Owner reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.Job Type : Full-time Compensation : $21.00 - $23.00 per hourThe Learning Experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
