OverviewReference #: 8074Location: Ottawa – RemoteType: Sub-contractDonna Cona Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator for one of our key clients.ResponsibilitiesA Database and SQL performance expert whose primary responsibility will be to maintain good performance of a complex and mission critical database.Capability and aptitude for deep diving into complex database performance issues is critical for success in this role.The Oracle DBA will monitor overall database performance metrics and diagnose performance issues, perform in-depth analysis of SQL query performance, analyze query access plans for potential problems, rewrite SQLs for better performance, develop solutions for problematic and slow queries, and perform SQL plan management.QualificationsValid Federal Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance;Oracle Database Certified with 10+ years of experience;Advanced expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting database performance issues;Advanced SQL query writing skills;Deep understanding of database objects and tools to improve performance;Database statistics management;AWR analysis;Server-level stats analysis related to CPU, memory and network;Good understanding of database views to mine performance data;Knowledge of best practices for good database performance.AssetsExperience with Oracle GoldenGateKnowledge of Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB)Company and EEODonna Cona is committed to a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
