Functions include maintenance of preparing chemotherapy and immunotherapy, performing Best Possible Medication lists, inventory management and other duties as required.**What you'll be doing:*** Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public* Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to work well in stressful situations* Demonstrates good communication skills including strong documentation skills* Demonstrates ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff and the community* Engages in ethical conduct and strives to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient/staff population and community* Demonstrates an understanding of sterile compounding procedures, safe handling of hazardous drugs, and the NAPRA standards**What you bring:*** Licensed by OCP, education obtained from an accredited Pharmacy technician program (CCAPP accredited = Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs)* Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technician* Completion of GCP certification and Division 5 upon within 3 months of hire* Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic techniques, pharmaceutical arithmetic, pharmaceutical terminology* Experience in hospital Pharmacy preferred* Experience in handling of hazardous drugs* Experience with aseptic technique* Experience with Clinical Trials preferred* Demonstrated computer skills* Demonstrated interpersonal skills, communication, and teamwork* Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal* Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork* Demonstrated individual leadership skills* Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families as well as other members of the healthcare team within a challenging and exciting health care environment.* Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of the principles of diversity, equity and inclusionSouthlake Health is fully committed to a culture of belonging and an inclusive environment that encourages every team member to lead within their role, generate innovative ideas that reinforce our mission and goal to create a healthy workplace where our community can thrive.Regular and reliable attendance is an expected requirement of this position.We are committed to a selection process and work environment that is inclusive and barrier-free.
