Base pay range CA$140,000.00/yr - CA$150,000.00/yr Senior Data Architect, Technology Architecture Location: Hybrid Toronto (2–3 days on-site per week) Client: Top 5 Bank Duration: FTE Perm Job Summary The Senior Data Architect plays a critical role in aligning business and IT objectives by defining and maintaining enterprise-level data architecture strategies. This position provides technical vision and leadership for the Data domain, ensuring integration with enterprise technology frameworks and compliance with governance standards. You will collaborate with Lines of Business (LOBs) to understand business imperatives, applications, and technology landscapes, while driving innovation and best practices in data management. What You’ll Be Doing Strategic Leadership: Set direction for enterprise data architecture and influence IT investment decisions. Technical Vision: Develop architecture roadmaps, evaluate solution options, and recommend designs that balance functional and non-functional requirements. Governance: Lead architecture governance forums to ensure adherence to standards, security, and performance requirements. Collaboration: Bridge communication between stakeholders from C-level executives to developers, using clear and effective methods. Innovation: Apply problem-solving skills to evolve architecture processes and introduce new technologies that meet business needs. How You’ll Succeed Build strong relationships across business and technology teams. Identify and implement architecture standards and patterns aligned with evolving business needs. Ensure integration of data architecture with data quality and management tools to expand capabilities. Manage project resources within approved budgets and timelines. Experience 5+ years in end-to-end architecture with strong expertise in data architecture and design. Hands-on experience with databases (SQL & NoSQL), cloud data platforms (Databricks, Microsoft Purview), Data/Delta Lake, RESTful APIs, streaming technologies, DevOps, and Agile methodologies. Proven ability to architect solutions for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud, Lakehouse architecture, and data analytics. Preferred Experience in Financial Services. Familiarity with microservices, API design, and architecture frameworks. Skills Excellent communication and leadership skills.
