We are seeking Virtual Construction Students for our BC Region district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 months starting in May 2026. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Manager, Integrated Construction Technology.As a Virtual Construction Student for PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. in Richmond, British Columbia, you’ll have the opportunity to support innovative infrastructure projects that shape the future of your community.Here’s how a Virtual Construction Student for PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. within BC Region contributes to our team:ResponsibilitiesSketching site plans using a JPG underlay (raster image) in AutoCADKey planning development for construction schedules and site layout documents which can include: site safety, site access, site trailers, temporary electricity, hoist access, crane swing, demolition etc.Tower crane and man/material hoist working drawings including plans, elevations and sectionsFormatting plot styles and various AutoCAD settings for desired design effectsCreating a job report binder for their supervisor that requires immediate updates when availableCreating new work order formsBecoming familiar with building information modeling (BIM) software such as Autodesk, NavisWorks, ArchiCAD/Constructor, Revit, 3D Studio Max, Sketchup etc; andBecoming familiar with scheduling programs Navisworks and SureTrak.QualificationsCandidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.Good working knowledge of AutoCADApplication of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.Pay Range: $19.88 - $24.38PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.Next StepNext Step:Please note that candidates who have been selected to move forward to the next stage of the recruitment process will receive an email to complete a short online video interview.Your Work Has Purpose HerePCL projects are where life happens, where communities connect, careers begin, and progress is made.
