The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.Job DetailsRequisition ID: 395211Position Number: 20083145, 20083146Posting End Date: Open Until FilledCity: RussellEmployer: Shared HealthSite: Shared Health - Russell EMS StationDepartment / Unit: ERS-EMS-West ZoneJob Stream: ClinicalUnion: MAHCPAnticipated Start Date: TBDFTE: 1.00Anticipated Shift: Days, Nights, Weekends and 12 hour peakWork Arrangement: In PersonDaily Hours Worked: 12.00Annual Base Hours: 2184Salary: $33.363, $36.726, $40.451, $44.219, $48.214, $52.381ResponsibilitiesProvides accessible, responsive, integrated, safe and effective patient care.Collaborates with key stakeholders including health care providers, allied emergency services agencies and other community agencies to ensure safe, effective and appropriate patient care that will shape an environment for clinical and service excellence.Experience3 years of full time or equivalent experience providing pre-hospital care at the primary care paramedic level (minimum) is required.A combination of related experience is preferred, including:Working with individuals from diverse cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds, such as supporting Indigenous (First Nations, Metis and/or Inuit) peoples.Working in patient relations and/or in a customer service capacity.Use of Shared Health ERS and Digital Health technology, software applications, and equipment.EducationGraduate of an advanced care paramedic program held by an accredited Canadian education institution, or a College of Paramedics of Manitoba approved equivalent.Certification / Licensure / RegistrationCertificate of Practice with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba and is a member in good standing at the Advanced Care Paramedic level (minimum).Basic Life Support (BLS), level C or equivalent from an accredited training provider.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from an accredited training provider.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from an accredited training provider.Assets: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS); International Trauma Life Support (ITLS); Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC).Qualifications And SkillsDemonstrates and encourages others to follow the principles of the LEADS framework: lead self; engage others; achieve results; develop coalitions; and participate in system transformation.Competence in both official languages (French/English) is essential for designated bilingual positions.Indigenous language competence or knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions and values is preferred.Competence in multiple additional languages (to English) is an asset.Physical RequirementsMust provide a Physical Fitness Assessment by an approved fitness assessment provider.Travel by multiple vehicle types, including in inclement weather, with risks associated with responding to ERS calls.Exposure to high stress, physically, mentally and emotionally demanding situations; potential for exposure to communicable disease.Moderate to heavy physical effort; frequent lifting of patients and equipment (80+ lbs/36.3+ kg).Must have a valid Class 4 Manitoba driver’s license (at a minimum) and use of a personal motor vehicle for travel within the zone and province as required.We have a unique ability to work together to make health care better.
